Kayron Review: the Archdemon's Might

Kayron is out there since a while now, and still an amazing unit to bring in every area of your game.

Immortality on passive makes him annoying and resilient in PvP, while his ability to buff self attack and deal AOE Hit Chance debuffs with Devil's Dust brings survivability in PvE on a Lifesteal set.

The PROS:

- One of the best anime to us, flying during runs and elevating Golems and bosses in the air before to burst them hard...we are in awe every time!

- High Speed base.

- Versatile across PvP and PvE.

- Easy to build with the Abyss Lifesteal sets.

- S3 attacks the enemy by exploding the Archdemon's Might contained within their sword, increasing Attack of the caster for 2 turns. If the enemy is defeated, extends any buffs granted to the caster by 1 turn. Deals damage proportional to the caster's lost Health.

- S2 grants immortality for 1 turn when the caster receives lethal damage and resets skill cooldown of Apocalypse. Can only be activated once every 9 turns. On the caster's turn, when buffed and using Void Slash, the skill will become an AoE attack and does not trigger Dual Attack.

- S1 attacks with a sword, with a 35-50% chance to decrease Hit Chance for 1 turn, dealing damage proportional to the caster's lost Health.

The CONS:

- Has a low defence base, squishy.

- Immortality buff can be dispelled, not best with current PvP meta turning with (new) dispellers around (Charles, Captain Rikoris, FKluri. ML Baal, ML Rin etc) and the artefact Violin (dispel one buff) which can be used by any mage like Dizzy.

The SET:

Lifesteal / Crit is a great all-rounder. Some players run him with high speed and any of the other damage base sets (attack / destruction / rage) for PvP.

Classic is with Attack% boots and ring, Critical Damage on Necklace.

SURPRISE PVP SET: Counter set with either Resistance or Crit or Immunity set. Have high res and trust us, it shocks well ;)

The early STATS (based on average 70 level+ epic gears, maxed at 15):

- Speed: 150+

- Attack: 3K+

- Def: 700+

- HP: 8K+

- Critical Chance: 75%+

- Critical Damage: 200%+

- Effectiveness: an important bonus.

The ARTEFACTS:

- Devil Durst: 15- 30% chance to attack again with a Basic Attack after attacking with a Basic Attack if the target survives. Can be activated once per turn.

By far, the best artefact for Kayron to proc his s1 AOE, deals tons of damage and refill his health on Lifesteal.

- Moonlight Dreamblade: Increases Evasion Chance by 20%. After successfully evading, the caster is granted increased Attack for 1 turn.

Excellent if you don't bring a attack buffer in your team and pair him with Assassin Cartuja. Additional advantage if you have a immunity set on him. This allows Kayron to have attack buff on first turn and deal more damage on his s3 opening.

- Wind Rider: Casts stealth and increases Attack by 30-60% for 1 turn when the enemy is defeated.

Very good, especially in PvP if you are sure to make a kill on turn one.

- On a budget, the classics: Tonfa or Joker for PvE.

How to counter a Kayron in PvP:

1. A stuner to immobilise him first turn, hit him and pop up immortality. Then a dispeller to take it out = GG.

2. Perfect baits: Destina or a good FKluri to tank and dispel Kayron's immortality buff. Tanky Charles is also a very good bait and best with counter set or artefact.

3. Best counters: Any unit with Anti-buff debuff. The new Sol or Basar as example.If Sol has Uberious Tooth, he can literally one shot and kill Kayron with the additional damage after the hit from the artefact.

His Good Buddies:

Any immortality shielder/reviver makes Kayron a nightmare in PvP. SS Achates, Ruele and more.

As mentioned above in artefact section, Assassin Cartuja for some survivability and you add the Moonlight Blade artefact on Kayron for perpetual attack buff. A fun set up.

Finally, Kayron is a very good farmer - a great PvE unit and also an efficient counter to some Earth threats in your PvP game. He is also an excellent bait against Kise comps.
