Guide Aither Review: a Boy with Big Balls

Updated: Mar 2, 2019

Guide Aither is definitely a game changer at any stage of your progression, either as second damage dealer early on to play safe, or later on to replace your healer slot in end-game content.

He brings a very specific set of skills which synergise perfectly in between his attack and team healing abilities. He deals a huge amount of damage overall and his s3 allows him to replenish fully your allies heal bar all the 4 turns.

A pure DELIGHT!..and a cheerful one as we love his anime and shouts during the runs too.

The PROS:

- Huge damage dealer with team healing abilities. Light element advantage.

- Later on, he can replace your healer to fasten the runs in all PvE.

- s3 deals huge amount of damage / replenish allies HP on damage made / Provide Heal Recovery for 2 turns on a 4 turn CD.

- s2 deals great damage as well, and provide himself with a Shield based on his Attack.

- s1 is a Speed debuff.

- He is just good everywhere, in both PvP and PvE.

- Easy to fully imprints with Aither copies, providing HP% to the whole team. Very good for him.

- Has great Attack base.

The CONS:

- Lack Speed, HP and Def base stats.

- Need heavy gear investment to shine.

The SET:

Speed, Attack, Lifesteal, Destruction / Crit.

It all depends the stats here, but if you go Speed / Crit, you will do Att% on Boots/Ring/Necklace.

If you go Attack / Crit you will do Speed Boots / Att% on Ring and Necklace.

We prefer to focus on his Att% on ring and neck rather than Critical Damage as he scales perfectly on it (one-shooting enough with full buff) and it provides him also that edge of safety on his s2 shield for overall use.

About Critical Damage%, oOne Shot" PvE set could be Destruction / Crit with 3,2K Attack, 90% critical and 280%+ critical damage - at that stage you will have restrictive use only for few PvE stages, and will be pretty slow/squishy - so it will be mainly for the picture.

The early STATS (based on average 70 level+ epic gears, maxed at 15):

- Speed: 150+ for PvP with 50% CR booster / 170+ for PvP with 30% CR booster / 140+ for PvE

- Att:3,5K+ it is important to focus on attack has his s2 shield can save him from tense battles / bosses fights.

- Def: 900K+

- HP: 10K+

- Crit chance: 75%+

- Critical Damage: 150%+

- Effectiveness / Resistance: a bonus.

Note: with the stats above, on full att buff/def break - you can deliver 18K+ damage easily on s3 in PvP (yes, one shot the Krau..and mostly ANYTHING) and 12K+ on s2. Even with no buffs and def break, he can take out the squishiest DPS with a 10K+ on s3. We often manage to one-shot Assassin Cartuja with full buff, even if it misses.

In PvE - against bosses - you will deliver a 20-25K+.

As a sustain to your team, you prefer him alive and invest rather in his Speed / HP / Def stats rather than Critical Damage at first.

The ARTEFACTS:

- Tagehels Ancient Book: For PvP offence and hard / manual PvE (Raids/Abyss), we like the tome maxed (20 soul burns) to provide him or any key unit an immediate boost right at start of the battle / each wave.

- Kaladra is great in a fast PvP comp and PvE, but not best for Raids as often time minions and Bosses self cast buffs / or have buffs you can't strip.

- Etica Scepter gives 50% chance to reduce 1 turn cool down at start of the turn, very efficient - mostly in PvE and long fights.

If you have none of those, on a Budget you can take Ranon's Memorandum for Att/Speed boost or Grail of Blood for some self-sustain / 20% of your attack as HP recovery on each turn.

His PVP FRIENDS:

- Any faster ally providing either attack buff / shield / def break for him.

- G.AIther and Diene is a classic "All the Support you need", means you can place two DPS in your PvE / PvP arena team.

- On Guild Battles, he really needs a CR Booster / a fast def breaker as he is quiet slow and squishy - which isn't the best type of DPS in a 3vs formation.

How to counter a Guide Aither in PvP:

1. As usual, any fast opener with CD reduction --> Stun--> Silence in that order to avoid his s3. FKluri too.

2. The Perfect Baits: Arbiter Vildred with low HP / high damage or any Dark tank with heavy HP pool and a immunity set.

3. Any def / invincibility shielder with a CR booster.

4. We like Iseria and Basar to land the anti-buff and avoid the HP recovery heal from his s3.
