Dizzy Review: The Mage Revolution

The latest unit released from the Event Collaboration, Dizzy took over the whole PvP scene within a week after her release.
By far, one of the best Crowd Control unit in this game - she is a all-skill AOE mage with four relevant debuffs (stun, speed, hit chance, attack) and a 50% CR reduction... yes, you gonna get into that dizzy-ness soon!
For PvE, you will use her more for your Abyss and few Raids - she isn't a must in Hunts.
After a week or so of trials, she is really a game changer to compare to Sol and Baiken - which are fantastic but yet have plenty of comparable / replaceable units to their skill set.
Dizzy is a unique mage.
The PROS:
- All skills are AOE and synergise perfectly together.
- Amazing opener in PvP for shutting down opponents damage with her s3. reducing CR by 50% on s2.
- Overall very good base stats and decent speed.
- Perfect to pair with other debuffers.
- S3 unleashes a giant explosion to attack all enemies. The attack misses, but inflicts Speed, Attack and Decrease Hit Chance for 2 turns regardless. Can get one extra turn with Soulburn!
- S2 Attacks all enemies with a powerful ray, extending the duration of debuffs by 1 turn, except for those which prevent the enemy for moving, before decreasing combat readiness by 50%.
- S1 attacks all enemies with the power of magic, with a 25% chance to stun for 1 turn. Deals increased damage to debuffed enemies.
The CONS:
- With current Resistance meta in end-PvP, you gonna need some very high efficiency to make her shine, and this on the top of a very high speed.
- Can be easily countered with immunity buffs / sets.
- She won't perform well against few PvE bosses and Hunts who can clean debuff.
- Her S3 has insane multiplier but it can't crit. So mostly built as a support for all around use, not as a damage dealer.
The SET:
Whatever you want her to be your PvP opener or not, you will mainly go for Speed / Hit - or Immunity.
We prefer her built as a support CC rather than a damage dealer for overall use.
You can go Speed boots, HP% or Effectiveness Ring and HP% on Necklace.
A PvP Trick we are loving: Counter / Immunity set with Violin.
Few are already doing it with very high speeds / eff / res / hp stats. Even her S1 has low percentage, with high efficiency it can actually land more often than expected. A funny bet.
The early STATS (based on average 70 level+ epic gears, maxed at 15):
- Speed: 200+. (End-game arena, Dizzys are over 240+ as opener).
- Effectiveness: 100%+ (Need Effectiveness Ring)
- HP: 10K+ (Need HP Necklace)
- DEF: 700+
- Res: 40%.
All other stats are a bonus.
The ARTEFACTS:
- Tagehel's Ancient Book: Receive 10-20 Souls at the beginning of a stage.
Excellent if you intend to Soulburn on her S3 to get an immediate S2 on offence! Artefact need to be maxed.
- Necro and Undine: Increases the caster's combat readiness by 20% after casting an AoE attack. This effect is not activated by a counterattack, Dual Attack or extra attack.
Perfect if you build her with high speed to increase her turns rotation = more CC!
- Abyssal Crown: 12-24% chance to stun the enemy for 1 turn when attacking.
Being an all-around AOE skilled unit, it is a stunning addition!
- Sina Sen: 25-50% chance to inflict a random debuff for 1 turn when attacking.
Overall very good.
- Etica's Scepter: 25-50% chance to decrease skill cooldown by an additional turn at the beginning of the turn.
A very good substitution to Necro and Undine.
How to counter a Dizzy in PvP:
1. Have immunity set / high resistance on your key units or cleanser/healer.
2. As usual, any fast opener with CD reduction --> Stun--> Silence in that order to avoid her s3.
3. Any cleanser/healer with high res and immunity set like Destina or Achates.
4. A very fast Baiken with high damage can be very effective / one-shot her potentially.
Her Good Buddies:
- If she isn't first to go, any fast AOE dispeller: ML Baal / Hurado to ensure no immunity sets will stop her from landing debuffs.
- Any AOE debuffer: ML Aramintha (pairs very well together to extend burns damage), Bellona, etc.. to extend their debuff with her s2.
The Verdict:
Among the great Collaboration Heroes Sol and Baiken (review here), Dizzy brings a new set of skills which makes her overall best of them three in our opinion.
They all have their strengths, but Sol or Baiken have replaceable / comparable unit you could build - not Dizzy, she is unique as a mage.
