BAIKEN review: Thirst for Revenge!

Baiken - aka Bacon - has plenty of different set ups in her arsenal. She can be a CR pusher in your PvP team or an absolute nuker in any other scenario.

She is more of a end-game material to fully unleash her potential, she requires stats/molas all over the place to land her Bleeds, need crits to reduce her CD and get additional turn.

As per Sol and Dizzy, she is also great in PvE - especially a good solution for your Banshee 11.

Now, players are asking for a buff to level up the effectiveness of her Bleeds - but even in doing so, the main problem is the upraising Resistance meta in high end PvP.

The PROS:

- A great DPS nuker with a unique mechanic of detonating Bleed debuffs.

- A potential CR pusher for your team.

- A good Banshee option.

- S1 attacks the enemy repeatedly, with a 45-70% chance each to inflict two bleed effects for 2 turns. A critical hit will reduce the caster's skill cooldowns by 1 turns.

- S2 attacks the enemy with expert swordsmanship, with a 55-80% chance each of inflicting three bleed effects for 2 turns. One bleed effect ignores Effect Resistance. A critical hit will grant an extra turn.

- S3 delivers a deadly blow, detonating any bleed effects inflicted on the enemy at the end of the turn. A critical hit increases the combat readiness of all allies by 15-30%.

The CONS:

- Very end-game build is needed here. Top gears, full skill ups and molas to really unleash her potential either as damage dealer or CR pusher.

- Her base speed is not best for a CR pusher set up.

- Easily countered by immunity or high restance stats.

The SET / two choices:

1. CR pusher: Speed/Crit.

You will go Speed boots and Critical Chance% on necklace at first.

2. Full nuke for PvP/PvE: Speed or Attack or Destruction or Rage with Crit or Hit.

You will go Attack boots (PvE), Speed boots (PvP) and Attack% neck.

In both scenarios, you will focus first on critical chance and effectiveness subs.

End Game PvP Baiken are about 230+ speed with 3K+ Attack, 100% critical Chance and 50% effectiveness minimum.

The early STATS (based on average 70 level+ epic gears, maxed at 15):

- Speed: 170+.(End game PvP has some Baiken over 230+ speed).

- Attack: 3K+

- Critical Chance: 100%

- Effectiveness: 50%+

- Critical Damage: any subs are a priority.

- Def/Hp: will be on your secondary list.

The ARTEFACTS:

- Torn Sleeve: 50-100% chance to inflict bleed for 2 turns after a single attack.

Versatile artefact for both PvE and PvP, stacks more bleeds for more damage.

- Devil Durst: 15- 30% chance to attack again with a Basic Attack after attacking with a Basic Attack if the target survives. Can be activated once per turn.

You will really need it maxed at 30 to be efficient.

- Elyha's Knife: Penetrates Defense by 10- 20% when attacking an enemy not at max Health.

A good option if she is not first DPS in your team.

- Moonlight Dreamblade (with Assassin Cartuja): Increases Evasion Chance by 20%. After successfully evading, the caster is granted increased Attack for 1 turn.

Provides a very good sustain in a team with a Ass.Cart, preferably with any reviver ( Ruele / Shooting Star Achates /etc).

- Rhianna & Luciella: 10-20% chance to be granted an extra turn at the end of the turn. Can be activated once per turn.

If the RnG favors you well, needs max level to shine.

- Portrait of the Saviors: Increases damage dealt by 10-20% if the enemy's Health is more than 50%.

- Exorcist's Tonfa: A great budget artefact for nuke jobs.

- Joker: For PvE.

Overall we prefer Torn Sleeve and Portrait of the Saviors - Moonlight Blade if you pair her with Assassin Cartuja.

How to counter a Baiken in PvP:

1. Have immunity set / high resistance on your water units - preferably tanks.

2. As usual, any fast opener with CD reduction --> Stun--> Silence in that order to avoid her s2-s3.

3. Perfect Bait: A Krau with high HP and immu / or high res (140% in end game with a resistance Ring). Angelica also. You need about 16K+HP and 1K Def to tank Baiken first move (S2/S3).

Her Good Buddies:

- Surin: has speed imprints and can be build in a fast type to go first and lands some additional bleeds.

- Assassin Cartuja: provides some safety, def break and additional bleed. As said above, Moonlight Blade on Baiken with him works very well.

- Any dispeller: Charles / Hurado / ML Rin / ML Baal to ensure her bleeds are landing.

- Any hero with Bleed debuff ( Haste, Sigret , etc) to increase her damage ability.

Overall Baiken is an amazing single target nuke, in both PvE and PvP. She is more on the offensive side and fairly used in end game PvP in both Arena and Guild Battles.
